Due to recent inclement weather and freezing temperatures, the City paused the second round of leaf pickup to change equipment over for plowing and ice control purposes. Every effort will be made to complete the second pass as weather and temperatures permit. The following sections have had 2 passes and crews will not be returning;
- Sawburg to all west city limits—from Main St to State St.
- Rockhill to Sawburg—Main St to State St.
- All streets south of State St.—from Quality Dr. to S. Union Ave.
We will be resuming work from Union Ave. to Mahoning Ave.—south of State St and then into the remaining sections of the City.
For context, the leaf machines clog or freeze up when snow is present or temperatures are below freezing. We appreciate the patience and understanding and we plan on starting back up after the Christmas Holiday.
