Director Responsibilities

The director of public safety and service serves as the professional administrator of the City of Alliance and is responsible for coordinating all day-to-day operations of the city. Responsibilities include:

  • Inter-governmental relations
  • Labor relations
  • Personnel
  • Preparation and administration of the city budget


The primary goal of this office is to serve the public interest and the residents of the City of Alliance to the best of its ability. The office operates under the authority granted it by the Office of the Mayor and the Alliance City Council and is governed by the laws of the State of Ohio and the City of Alliance. The office strives to utilize all city resources in an efficient and prudent manner to obtain those objectives for the public good.
