City Council

City Council is the legislative authority for the City of Alliance. Alliance City Council is comprised of seven members, four of whom are designated by wards and three that are elected to serve the city at large.


March 15, 2020  - April 2, 2020, 5:30pm

The meeting will be available on livestream video pursuant to Sub. House Bill 197 authorizing local governments to conduct meetings via telephone /videoconference and suspending enforcement of all statutory provisions requiring a physical quorum.

No members of the public will be permitted to be physically present in the meeting room as a result of the Governor’s Stay At Home Orders of March 15, 2020 and April 2, 2020, but will have the ability to attend via videoconference.

Alliance City Council meetings conducted virtually pursuant to Sub. House Bill 197 will remain open for public comment and attendance through the following methods:

The legislature has extended the virtual meetings law until July 1, 2021. Those issuing public notices for meetings need to change the HB 197 portion to Amended HB 404

City Council meets in regular session every first and third Monday of the month 

The public is invited to all City Council and committee meetings.
