The Alliance Street Department maintains a total of 106.5 miles of roads and 38 miles of alleys for the current population of 23,253.

The Alliance Street Department employs 1 Superintendent, 2 Foremen, 10 Equipment Operators and 1 Plant Clerk.

The Department’s hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Department is responsible for paving, blacktopping, patching; grading alleys; installing culverts; painting curbs and striping streets; installing stop signs, handicapped signs, no parking signs, children at play signs, street signs, etc.; snow removal and ice control; picking up loose leaves on the curblawn, (J&J Refuse, Inc, the City's contracted refuse collector will be responsible for removal of bagged leaves).
