MINUTES OF THE NOVEMBER 15, 2010

SPECIAL WORKSHOP MEETING OF THE ALLIANCE CITY COUNCIL

The meeting was called to order by President Benincasa at 6:00 P.M. 

ROLL CALL: Alan Andreani, Larry Dordea, Steve Okey, Phyllis Phillips, Roger Rhome, and Larry Thompson present.

Motion and Second to excuse Roy Clunk who is out of town.  MOTION PASSED BY ACCLAMATION OF ALL MEMBERS.

Also Present were:

Members of the Robertson family to address ideas for use of recently acquired inheritance tax

Presentation was given Scott Robertson on priorities use of monies received from the Robertson family

Priorities were listed by the Robertson family for consideration were as follows:

1.       Pay off City’s outstanding debt

2.       Purchase Fire Department Equipment

3.       Funding to supplement YMCA early learning Center

4.       Extension of Beech Creek Sewer line to Marlington High School

Discussion and presentation was given of current programs and efforts in the City and the area

Discussion was held by members of Council and Scott Robertson regarding the thoughts for use of the tax money.

ADJOURNMENT: Noting no further business to come before the body or  Council, President Benincasa adjourned the special meeting at 6:20 P.M.
