MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 25, 2006
SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ALLIANCE CITY COUNCIL
The meeting was called to order by President Pro Tem Price at 7:00 p.m. Councilman Andreani gave the invocation and led the meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL: Alan Andreani, Steve Okey, Phyllis Phillips, Warren Price, Roger Rhome, Sue Ryan and Larry Thompson present.
Noted that President Benecasa was out of town on family business and Councilman Price was acting as President for the Meeting as President Pro Tem.
Council Clerk Yost read the notice of the Special Meeting and noted its publication in the Alliance Review and posting on City Bulletin Boards.
THIRD READINGS:
Ordinance 118-06: introduced by Thompson: An Ordinance accepting annexation of the park commons annexation area to the City of Alliance on application of owners of Real Estate; and declaring an emergency.
SECOND READINGS:
Ordinance 122-06: introduced by Rhome and Thompson: An Ordinance amending Alliance Codified Ordinance Section 181.14 “Credit for tax paid to another Municipality”; and declaring an emergency. Noted a workshop session of City Council has been scheduled for October 2, 2006 @ 6:00 P.M. on this Ordinance.
Motion and second to enter executive session with Council members, Safety Service Director, Mayor, Council Clerk, Auditor, Fire Chief, and Labor Attorney Robert Tscholl to discuss eminent litigation involving the fire contract and the concilator's award. MOTION PASSED BY ACCLAMATION OF ALL MEMBERS.
Council entered executive session at 7:05 P.M.
Council returned from Executive session at 9:09 P.M.
ADJOURNMENT: Noting no further business to come before this Council, President Pro Tem Price adjourned the meeting at 9:10 P.M.
