About the Wastewater Treatment Plant
The Wastewater Treatment Plant is located at 12251 Rockhill Avenue Northeast and treats domestic, commercial, and industrial wastewater from the city and surrounding areas. The final effluent is discharged into the Mahoning River at the head works of Berlin Reservoir.

Industrial Pretreatment Program
From the Wastewater Treatment Plant, we run an approved Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP). For more information about this program or for a copy of the Industrial Waste Questionnaire / Permit Application, see the Industrial Pretreatment Program page.
Sewage Sludge
During the treatment process, sewage sludge is collected and digested. We land apply this sewage sludge on local farmer’s fields. For information about how to receive sewage sludge or what it is, see the Sewage Sludge page.
Hauled Waste
